Electronics in Meccano aims to help Meccano enthusiasts and other hobbyists use electronic components and circuits in their models.

Originally a magazine produced for members of my local Meccano club, Electronics in Meccano was published quarterly from 1998 to 2001.

The accompanying website is one of my more advanced sites, incorporating article management, message boards, membership services and a full-text article and message search engine.

The home page

Membership of yourEiM lets readers choose to be notified by email when articles in their topics of interest are added to the website.

Members can also keep track of their message board messages and replies, and customise the home page to their liking.

Article Management

Articles on the website are managed using an Access form.

The form allows a Shopping List to be compiled for each article, with items selected from a central table of parts.

House style is strictly enforced across all articles through the use of CSS. This technique also allows the website to present a printer-friendly version of each article to readers.
